Renaissance (1440-1649 years)

Since the Renaissance, begins conscious decoration of interiors. It was during this period of great change that interior decoration was perceived as a special area of ​​art. The fabrics of this time were mostly smooth weaving, silk, woolen or cotton. Begins widespread use of velvet and brocade saturated and iridescent colors. By the end of the Renaissance, lambrequins and cornices, whose forms were inspired by the motifs of Greek art, began to be included in the window decoration, which became the finishing touches that gave the curtains a more sophisticated look that reached a particular flourishing in the Baroque era.
